Volontariato Torino - Vol.To ETS is the Volunteer Support Centre of Turin (in the north-west part of Italy), an umbrella non-profit organisation with a network of more than 1,300 associations, to which the Centre provides services according to the Italian National Third Sector Law.
Vol.To’s mission is to qualify and support volunteers in order to enable them to seize opportunities and take individual paths of development. For this purpose, the organisation develops projects to increase the interest in volunteering as well as build tailor-made learning paths on the needs of volunteers.
Since 2016, Vol.To is also the official Eurodesk local point of Turin. Eurodesk is a widespread network consisting in more than 3,000 partners in 36 European Countries, providing free information for younger people about international mobility opportunities connected with learning, training, volunteering and working and also a first source of free counselling and help for organisations and informal groups so they can approach European project planning.
Vol.To not only offers consultancy to organisations that want to embark on a pathway in European project planning, but also designs its own projects in the framework of calls for proposals ranging from Erasmus+, to European Solidarity Corps and Horizon programmes. Starting in 2019 it decided to invest heavily in intergenerational mentoring, coordinating the EvolYou project and later participating as a partner in MAB. Since 2024, moreover, Vol.To has been a member of CESES, Confederation of European Senior Expert Services, and has run a mentoring programme against early school leaving at a high school in Turin. Within MAB, Vol.To is responsible for the elaboration of the mentoring methodology, mentoring hub training and the preparation of training materials for mentors; it also assists in the management of mentoring hub profiles on the MAB Platform, verifying and approving new registrations.
