Senior Experten Service (SES), our MAB partner from Germany, published its annual report mentioning MAB in the context of the Europeanisation of their VeraPlus mentoring initiative.
Since 2017, SES has been working with a number of organisations to help initiatives that are following the example of VerAplus to gain a foothold in Europe. The EU supports this endeavour and has approved funds for the MYDI (Mentoring Young Disadvantaged People for Inclusion), EvolYou (European Senior Volunteering through Mentoring for the Social Inclusion of Young People in Difficulties), EST (European Seniors Together) and Mentoring Across Borders projects in which SES has been active as partners.
VerAplus is a nationwide mentoring programme for trainees in need of support. VerAplus supports young people with coaching based on the 1:1 principle, and has been SES’ most successful individual project for many years.
